Over 100 Hospitals Benefitting From B5 Plus Free Oxygen Initiative to Help Fight COVID-19 in Ghana

Mukesh Thakwani, Founder and CEO of B5 Plus, the leading steel manufacturing company in Ghana and West Africa, recently declared that B5’s free oxygen initiative has been of great help to over 100 government and private hospitals in Ghana.

The Tema-based company has given huge relief to the fight against COVID-19 by offering free oxygen refilling to all hospitals around the country, an initiative which commenced in March 2020.

Mukesh Thakwani said that over 1000 cylinders from the various hospitals have been refilled since the commencement of the free oxygen delivery and assured that the free oxygen supply will continue until the day COVID-19 is defeated in Ghana.

This initiative forms part of B5’s Corporate Social Responsibility geared towards supporting the needy. Much of the company’s CSR now focuses on this initiative, considering how crucial the fight against the COVID-19 virus has become recently.

Mukesh Thakwani urged the Government of Ghana to step up its efforts towards combating the virus by enforcing all safety protocols outlined in a bid to ensure economic activities are done in a safe manner.

The business leader took the opportunity to express his gratitude to the various staff of the company for their diligent efforts in ensuring B5 Plus achieved great success in the year 2021 despite the hardship brought by the pandemic.
