B5 Plus Limited, the largest steel manufacturing company in Ghana, has bagged eleven awards so far for its CSR and investments in 2022.
At the recent GIPC awards, the company was ranked among the top 100 companies in the country and scooped the national brands innovation and manufacturing brand of the year awards at the National Top Brands Awards.
B5 Plus was also named the best accounts and finance company of the year at the GAF Awards, as well as the outstanding business in manufacturing and fabrication award at the just ended ARCE Awards, and the metal manufacturing company of the year at the Ghana International Products Awards.
At the ninth edition of the Iconic Iron and Steel Brand Awards, B5 Plus Limited was named one of the top made in Ghana iconic brands and the best manufacturing brand of the year in steel at the Ghana Corporate Brand Awards.
CEO Mukesh Thakwani was adjudged the winner in the category of Entrepreneurship and Nation Building Honour Award at the second edition of the National Governance and Business Leadership Awards.
During this year’s Ghana Business Standard Awards, B5 Plus Limited won best steel manufacturing company of the year and clinched the company of the decade at the Governance and Business Leadership Awards.
Speaking to the media after winning all these awards, Mukesh Thakwani said, “B5 Plus keeps striving for the best and we are very thankful to our client base because without them it would not be possible. B5 Plus believes in giving quality services for all our steel products to every Ghanaian and to the whole West Africa market. We are very glad to receive different awards”.
He believes the awards will encourage them to work harder as the company targets to take over the West African market as soon as possible.
“We are really thankful to the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre. Like I always say, every award keeps you on your toes and especially coming from the government authorities, it is very important to say that we are bringing progress to the economy in our little way, and at the same time being tax compliant, making sure that we are here to deliver the best quality goods at a competitive rate to the whole Ghanaian and West African market”.
On what the B5 Plus brand stands for, the visionary businessman said, “I think the B5 Plus brand itself has made a name in the steel industry of Ghana across all the sectors whether you talk about fabricators, projects, mining industry or oil and gas, anyone related to steel, we are very proud to say that B5 Plus has become the brand name in every household related steel. We want to take this name to the whole Africa, we are very proud to say that today B5 Plus has produced a state-of-the-art engineering facility, so you get all your product right here delivered to your doorstep whether you want factory, tanks or the mall, we can build it right here in the required time, with quality, at a competitive rate”.
He seized the opportunity to plead with Ghanaians to continue purchasing locally made products, especially now that the cedi is rapidly falling against other major foreign currencies. “Support made in Ghana, this is the time we are seeing that the foreign currency is really more important so to save our currency we all should support made in Ghana initiatives and believe in Ghana products. Today we are ISO certified, CUC Net from Germany and a host of others, which shows that, as for quality, we don’t fall short and deliver the best”, he added.
