Ghana: Leading Steel Manufacturer B5 Plus Wins Over 30 Prestigious Awards in Less Than a Year

2021 has been a prolific year for B5 Plus. Between the months of January and September, the top steel manufacturer has won over 30 prestigious awards as a recognition for its outstanding role in the socio-economic activities of Ghana.

B5 Plus Limited was established two decades ago with the vision and mission to become the world’s most recognised steel company through the excellence of its employees, innovative approach and overall conduct. Since then, it has become the leading steel manufacturer, pre-engineering fabrication and trading company in Ghana and West Africa, with a complete range of steel products suitable for construction – from small-scale projects to huge ones in mining, shipping engineering, automobile and real estate. It comes as no surprise that B5 Plus has once again been greatly awarded, both nationally and internationally.

Some of these awards include the African Global Trade and Investment Awards, where CEO Mukesh Thakwani was adjudged Facilitator of Glo-Afric Trade and Investment; The Ghana West Africa Business Excellence Awards, where he was awarded Outstanding Business Leader; The National Governance and Business Awards, where he was awarded Entrepreneur of the Year and Business Personality of the Year; The Millennium Excellence Awards, where B5 was awarded for its Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility, or more recently the Made in Ghana Awards, where B5 was declared Hall of Fame Awardee, to mention a few.

Mukesh Thakwani said B5 was excited and proud of the honours, which according to him are keeping them on their toes and making sure they keep delivering the best. He thanked the various organisers for the continuous support, as well as his workers, adding that without them it would not have been possible for the company to get to this current stage. “The awards really make us feel proud that the company is excelling in business; they came as a result of dedication and hard work because we keep delivering the best as a one-stop-shop for steel, and that is the motto of B5 Plus Limited,” he said.
