DPS International was founded in 2010 in order to provide quality education from creche to A Level, to the children in Ghana and its neighbouring countries. The school is accredited by the University of Cambridge International Examinations and Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi (CBSE).
It certainly was the zeal of a missionary and philanthropist, Mr. Mukesh Thakwani, and his fellow associates, who envisaged the noble vision to start quality education in Tema that could transform the solitary vastness of eight acres of land into a bustling paradise of education.
Inspired by the golden saying of Aristotle, Mr. Mukesh Thakwani, was urged to enlighten the children of West Africa with the aura of education. Thereupon, he conceived the dream child – DPS International. With the motto "Service Beyond Self", that was the beginning of a new life for the children of DPSI. A life dedicated to learning through futuristic methods and modern equipment such as smart classrooms, laboratories, computer labs, sports facilities, etc., that opened wide the doors of possibility in all spheres of life.
Mr. Mukesh Thakwani has been a guiding force behind the reputation of this great educational institution. Being considered as one of the leading businessmen in Africa, it is easy to understand why this school, spearheaded by someone like him, is considered one of the top schools of Tema and Accra. In 2002, Mukesh V. Thakwani founded B5 Plus, the leading iron and steel company in Ghana, with the vision and mission to become the world’s most recognized steel industry through the excellence of its employees, its innovative approach and its overall conduct. Being a visionary, he made B5 Plus grow by leaps and bounds within a short span of time.
Mr. Mukesh Thakwani is not only a successful entrepreneur but also a polymath who has a deep insight into the realm of education. His sole aim is to impart quality education – the hallmark of DPS International. The best leadership qualities of Mr. Thakwani are his communication and teamwork skills. Throughout his career, he has always worked hard to build relationships, especially with his employees.
Mr. Mukesh Thakwani is a true educationist who envisaged to build the capacities of the spirit of inquiry, creativity, entrepreneurial and moral leadership among students and has become their role model. His focus is making DPSI carve a niche for itself on the map of West Africa. Having single-minded devotion to his goal, there is no doubt that his dreams will be transcended beyond everyone’s expectations. According to him, if the mind is intensely eager, everything can be accomplished.
