Kingsway Group’s Expansive Vision: Hospitality, Economic Zones, and Zero-Waste Agro-Processing in Kenya

Manish Shah, Executive Chairman at Kingsway Group of Companies, provides an overview of the group’s activities in Kenya, highlighting their involvement in hospitality, special economic zones, and agro-processing.

“Kingsway Group of Companies is presently engaged in hospitality, operating the Village Market mall, which is specifically built as a family, recreation, and entertainment mall. Our vision for the mall is clear, and the group also now has three hotels, having recently acquired a third. We are promoting investment in Kenya through special economic zones for manufacturing, services, and trading opportunities, benefiting not only Kenya but also East and Central Africa, which can be serviced through these zones. Strategically located within the diplomatic circle, we are developing new hospitality projects, including long-term stay apartments, designed with the necessary detailing for our target market. Additionally, we are supporting agro-processing in Kenya with a zero-waste project that utilizes every part of the groundnut bean to produce various products such as peanut milk, peanut butter, peanut cream, and RUTF (Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food) which is used by UNICEF and other agencies to provide high-protein nutrition for refugee children. The end waste of the peanut shells will be used to manufacture 100% biodegradable plates, cups, and other wares, encouraging and helping a significant number of peanut farmers in Kenya to create a new cash crop that presently does not exist”, says Manish Shah.
