Mato Grosso represents 40% of Brazil's surplus as the state is an important exporter of agricultural products. According to Jandir Milan, President of FIEMT (Mato Grosso Federation of Industries), the new highway linking the state to the north of Brazil will be inaugurated soon, reducing the cost of freight and opening the state to the chinese market.
