BACKGROUND:

54 years old Israeli born Amos Genish holds a Bachelor Degree in Economics and Accounting from Tel Aviv University. Before becoming the well known businessman he is today, he was a former captain of the Israeli Army. He was also the CEO of a technology company traded on Nasdaq.

GVT (GLOBAL VILLAGE TELECOM):

Amos Genish is famous for being the co-founder and leader of GVT (Global Village Telecom), a Brazilian telecommunications company created in 2000. GVT offers services on landline telephone, broadband for both consumer and business, Pay TV and voice over IP. Genish led the company’s expansion, reaching revenues above US$ 2 Billion by 2014. In 2007, he led GVT’s IPO in the Brazilian stock exchange; in 2009, he led the company’s sale to Vivendi, for US$ 4,8 Billion. In 2014, he led the negotiations of GVT’s sale to Telefónica, the leading Spanish broadband and telecommunications provider with operations in Europe, Asia, North America and South America, for more than US$ 9 Billion.

VIVO:

In May 2015, Amos Genish was appointed as President and CEO of Vivo (Telefônica Brasil), the largest and most profitable telecom operator in Brazil. Vivo provides services such as fixed line, mobile, broadband, television, etc. It is headquartered in Sao Paulo.
