Uhuru Kenyatta

Uhuru Kenyatta is the 4th and current President of Kenya, in office since 2013. He is the son of Jomo Kenyatta, Kenya’s founding father and first President, in office between 1964 and 1978. He received his early education from the St. Mary’s School in Nairobi. After completing high school, he enrolled at the Amherst College in the United States, where he studied political science and economics. Upon completing his graduation, Uhuru Kenyatta returned to his homeland and started a company (Wilham Kenya Limited), through which he sourced and exported agricultural produce. Besides that, before becoming President, Mr Kenyatta was involved in managing his father’s wealth, where he acquired his own in the process. Some of his most significant achievements as President include the implementation of a new government administrative unit of counties, which replaced the previous unit of provinces. He also dealt with the complaints of poor governance, corruption, and insecurity. He is one of the richest people in Kenya, with a total net worth of $500 million.
