This would build on their confidence, interpersonal skills, curiosity and help them decide the areas they want to learn more about in their near future.

ARG 1 Africa, the largest wholly owned Ghanaian company specialized in elevator engineering, offers an open platform to young hardworking students of different ages, from different schools and universities across globe, to explore the moving installations industry in Ghana.

ARG 1 has had students come from Lebanon, India and Ghana, studying architecture, interior design, mechatronics engineering, and so on, come for 4 to 6 weeks internships with the company.

The elevator engineering specialist has also collaborated with schools in Ghana, such as Al Rayan International School and Ashesi University, to offer high school students the opportunity to experience every area of its business, including relationship management, projects, after-sales, accounting, procurement, and so on.

These internships allow youngsters to actively take part in every task assigned to them (however big or small) by every department head and complete it to the best of their ability and knowledge.

“My experience at ARG 1 was really something I will take with for the rest of my life, the things I learned helped me grow as a person and in my career as a first step to becoming the architect I dream to be”, said architecture major Matteos Nasr from Notre Dame University Lebanon.

“Interning at ARG 1 was a wonderful experience. They were very friendly and always ready to help which made me feel like I was part of the team/family for a long period of time”, added mechatronics engineering major Jalal Abdul Malek from Bahçeşehir University.

Internship programs also give ARG’s employees an opportunity to mentor future leaders in the field, promoting a healthy work culture and building company morale. Helping teach and develop individuals new to the career can motivate employees and reinvigorate their passion or work ethic and increase effective leadership within the team.
