Companies and Individuals Shaping the Ghanaian Business Landscape Rewarded During 2022 Ghana Business Awards Event

With the goal to reward businesses and individuals that have played a defining role in moving their industry forward; identify projects and individual achievements that have enabled their business to set themselves apart from their competitors; but also recognize achievements from local and international companies involved in promoting the business sector in Ghana; the Ghana Business Awards event returned for its fifth-anniversary on October 28, 2022.

Companies and Individuals Shaping the Ghanaian Business Landscape Rewarded During 2022 Ghana Business Awards Event

With the goal to reward businesses and individuals that have played a defining role in moving their industry forward; identify projects and individual achievements that have enabled their business to set themselves apart from their competitors; but also recognize achievements from local and international companies involved in promoting the business sector in Ghana; the Ghana Business Awards event returned for on October 28, 2022, at the Kempinski Gold Coast City Hotel in Accra.

After weeks of scrutiny and review of applications, Globe Productions Limited, organizers of the Ghana Business Summit, Exhibition and Awards, shortlisted the most relevant individuals and organisations for this year’s awards, themed “Promoting Investment in Ghana and Africa”.

The criteria for shortlisting successful nominees were based on some key performance indicators in the standards of excellence, including information technology, innovation, competitive pricing and healthy practices.

The ceremony, which was being organised in partnership with the World Leader Summit, the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Ghana Investment Promotion Centre and the Institute of Directors, with support from the Graphic Communications Group Limited and Media General, seeked to promote business excellence nationally and internationally, as well as provide an unparalleled opportunity for networking among industry players.

Many renowned companies were awarded during the event. Below is the list of winners in their respective categories:

Labadi Beach Hotel – Hospitality Company of the Year
• Lister Hospital – Healthcare Provider of the Year (Joint Winner)
• The Little Cow – Consultancy Firm of the Year
• M&C Logistics and Trading – Trading Company of the Year
• Maxbuy Ghana Ltd – Best-Growing Company of the Year

• Unichem Ghana Ltd – Pharmaceutical Company of the Year

• Dilip Jaga, Director of Unichem Ghana Group of Companies – Outstanding Leadership Award for the Private Sector
• Prof Elsie Effah Kaufmann, Quiz Mistress of the National Science and Maths Quiz – Woman of Excellence

Some of the dignitaries present were Madam Samia Nkrumah (former Chairperson of the CPP and daughter of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah), His Excellency Javier Gutierrez (the Spanish Ambassador to the Republic of Ghana) and His Excellency Meshal Hamda Al-Rogi (Ambassador of the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia).
