KEY Contracting: Hussein Fakhry Talks Delivering Value Added Projects and Sustainable Developments

“Twenty-two years back, we were only two architects – me and my brother Imad – when we put our hands and minds together and established KEY Contracting, initially in Lebanon, and then in Ghana and Ivory Coast. Today, we are proud to have 100 staff in the three offices, who are working and sharing the same passion as we do to deliver value added projects and sustainable developments”, says Hussein Fakhry.

“Architecture is to be able to dissect every project with particularity, through a deep understanding of its context, both urban and social. This gave KEY the lead to propose avant-garde programs, concepts and designs. We believe that the positive perception of every space goes far beyond choice in the quality of the finishing materials and color palettes, to touch on the essential recipes for joy. Here, I mean nature, culture and human connections. We have been able to create sustainable projects at inception by inviting light, greenery and ventilation to our proposed homes. We succeeded to dream through details and silhouettes of peaceful characters, and with an urban mind we inspire people to meet in our lavishly designed public spaces. Today, sustainability should be at the core of our concepts. And I wish to take this subject beyond the use of sustainable materials and energy-saving elements to look at sustainable concepts and programs for projects to continue to serve their owners and consequently the society. I believe that every project we do is an opportunity to inspire and give a decent life to people, while respecting Mother Earth”, he adds.
