Export of Lebanese Wine: Selling Lebanese Wine Abroad
The export strategy for Chateau Kefraya wine is to focus on high end restaurants and boutique wine shops.
Over the past 10 years, Chateau Kefraya, the second largest wine producer in Lebanon, has been able to double the number of its export markets from 20 to 40 countries.
Due to the limited production, the export and selling of Lebanese wine from Chateau Kefraya is to focus on high end restaurants and boutique wine shops. The major export market for the Chateau Kefraya wine remains Europe, primarily the UK, and then the US. Chateau Kefraya’s export plan is to develop the new markets such as Brazil and India and thus be selling more bottles of Lebanese wine abroad.
Commenting on the plans to expand to China, Mr. Majdalani denounced such plans because of the limited production.
