In those times of coronavirus crisis, Musita Investments Limited remains at the forefront of the transport and logistics sector in Uganda. The company is providing assistance by sending and delivering medical equipment and supplies to health facilities and strives to find solutions in order to help businesses operational through this difficult period, offering transportation services to them.
Besides, Musita Investments Limited has taken all the steps to secure the health of its employees, as well as its clients, putting in place various measures, such as pardoning some employees to minimize congestion (continuing with a few whose physical presence is essential), ensuring continuous communication through all available platforms (cell, emails and social media among others), providing regular updates to employees and other branches regarding government terms on issues such as travel bans, promoting social distancing for the ongoing working employees, as well as providing masks, sanitizers and gloves for them, in addition to limiting physical contact.
In order to keep up and running during this COVID-19 crisis, all employees remain reachable via email and phone, ensuring ongoing operations, such as lodging and capturing clients’ entries, following up captured entries, verifying consignment, as well as transporting essential and non-essential cargo.
Limited access to bonds, limited access to revenue authorities for clearing, pending consignment verifications, consignments having no destination after being loaded off and cleared, limited employees to work as manpower, etc. This period means new challenges to be faced for Musita Investments Limited. Still, the Ugandan one stop logistics activities center has found solutions to remain present and efficient, by using verified private means to access revenue authority and insuring off-loading of consignments in specific bonds.
