Which areas are the most promising for growth? Where do you see growth in such a saturated market?

We see potential growth opportunities in all the three sectors (consumers, enterprise, and wholesale). From a saturation perspective, in terms of penetration or number of users, we are already at saturation; in one year, the traffic of our fixed network users grew more than 150% and the traffic of our mobile network grew over 250%.

When you look at saturation in terms of traffic, there is a huge increase in process. Saudi customers are digitally savvy and attached to the Internet – this can be a potential growth for the telecom companies. STC sees a complete change and major opportunities in the way enterprise companies seek their services.

STC is an incumbent operator with a huge network that covers the Kingdom and the region. We are participants in the major international submarine cables that provide traffic across the globe; therefore, the wholesale segment of our business is another area of potential growth for operators both in the Kingdom and the region, and potentially on a global scale. As a result, we are revising our wholesale strategy to ascertain it brings in more value to the company.
