Nozad Dawood Fattah Al-Jaff, Chairman North Bank, praises strong regulatory supervision by the Central Bank of Iraq but at the same time warns that the implementation of the practices must accelerate to keep up with the best international banking regulations.
Moreover, Al-Jaff says: “law and order must return to the country. The inspections of the market must return to normal and after that we will be on the right track. I think two years from now, most of our banks will be accredited internationally and we will be among the bigger players in the region.”
