Saudi Economic Diversification

Saudi Arabia’s economic diversification is a difficult policy to implement. Abdulrahman Al-Zamil talks about the economic diversification. According to Al-Zamil, the diversification is on track and gradually the economy is less dependent on oil.

“Diversification is our objective but we have to work hard on it in different ways. We are going that route though. If anybody tells you that our economy will not depend totally on oil is dreaming because oil will always be our mover. I’m not really of the opinion of people who are expecting oil to go down. Oil, my friend, is a precious material. It will always go up. Demand is tremendous. I do care about all the predictions. Since I was at the university studying oil economics, they were telling us oil will go down. Until today, we have seen nothing but it going to 120,” he says.
