COVID-19: Interplast Supports the Government of Ghana to Help Fight the Pandemic
As part of Interplast Ghana’s corporate social responsibility of giving back to society and the country, the management of the company saw the need to support government at this time of an imminent epidemic and extreme need to help fight the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
As part of Interplast Ghana’s corporate social responsibility of giving back to society and the country, the management of the company saw the need to support government at this time of an imminent epidemic and extreme need to help fight the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
A cheque of GHc1.2m was presented today to the government by Mr. Hayssam Fakhry, Managing Director of Interplast Limited, the biggest pipe manufacturing company in Ghana and West Africa. Supported by the company’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Fakhry presented the cheque to the Chief of Staff for the trust fund at the Jubilee House.
Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Opare, received the cheque on behalf of the fund and called on other organizations and the private sector to support the cause. She also used the opportunity to encourage industries to educate their workers on the best practices at this critical times and encourage all to go by the social distancing and hygiene protocols.
On behalf of the President, Madam Opare thanked Interplast for their continuous support to the country and expressed the hope that others will follow suit.
