Interplast: Training Technical Staff of the Ghana Irrigation Development Authority on Basic Irrigation System Designs

Interplast Limited organized a series of training courses on basic irrigation system designs for 40 technical staff of the Ghana Irrigation Development Authority (GIDA) in Accra and Volta Region in August and September respectively. While a third, and last one for 2019, is scheduled for November in Tamale to include another 20 trainees from GIDA staff.

Interplast Limited organized a series of training courses on basic irrigation system designs for 40 technical staff of the Ghana Irrigation Development Authority (GIDA) in Accra and Volta Region in August and September respectively. While a third, and last one for 2019, is scheduled for November in Tamale to include another 20 trainees from GIDA staff.

This was in collaboration with the Ghana Irrigation Development Authority to promote the irrigated agriculture in the country and to equip, educate and train them on irrigation systems and designs to enable them adapt the best practices in educating farmers across the country.

Interplast is the biggest manufacturer of pipes and profiles in West Africa. Interplast officially launched its state of art irrigation drip pipes and coils in August, 2018. As part of Interplast’s quest to boost the agricultural sector in Ghana, the company will train and educate irrigation engineers and farmers all over the country by 2020.
