Interview with Samuel Peprah, CEO of Prestodea Ghana Ltd

What is your scope of business and how do you distinguish yourself from the competition?

Prestodea Ghana Ltd specializes in providing architectural design services that suit our clients through fabrication and metal solutions. So we do glass works, shower cubicles, curtain wall glazing and other works.

The advantage we have is our ability to produce and fabricate on a large scale, which reduces our cost of production and helps us give the best prices to our clients. Because of that, most of our clients always choose Prestodea.

In which area are you the strongest?

We are very strong in glass balustrades, metal works, and burglar proofing as well.

Can you give us examples of projects you have recently done?

Prestodea did the Gallery for Clifton Homes in Shiashie. We also worked on Oasis Park in East Legon, Rock City Hotel in Kwahu, Net Solutions, Embassy Gardens, Mantrac, etc. We have done a lot of projects in Ghana.

Did you get recognitions from the industry for your work?

Up to now, we have won six awards, including Best Glass Balustrade of the Year, Best Glass Supplier of the Year in 2021, Outstanding CEO of the Year, and the Global Excellence Leader Award. We also won Best Construction Company of the Year for Interior Designs, and, recently, I was awarded a Doctor Award in Dubai. So our awards are both local and international.

What is your international reach? Are you working only in Ghana?

We have links abroad. For now we only work in Ghana, but we will get there.

Are you looking for investors?

In Prestodea Ghana Ltd, we want to expand on our delivery, as well as others things. We really need to establish a big institution that is going to expand the whole business in our mass production, and it is all involving money, among others. So I need investors who will come on board, see what we are doing and implement their knowledge to push the company.

Can you give us some examples of success stories?

I started Prestodea almost 10 years ago. Before I started the company, I was a house boy to my former boss. Through that, I showed interest in what he was doing, and with my dedication, loyalty and honesty, he had the heart to show me what has made me who I am today. The education side of my life may not be much, but greatness is in the mind. Whatever you have, whatever you want to create, you can still do it, it is not only about education. So it is a great success story for me winning all these awards in Ghana. It shows the impact is there.

What do you want to achieve in two to three years-time? What is your dream and ambition for Prestodea?

My vision is for us to be the leading fabrication company in glass and metal works. Then giving the best service to our clients to maintain and satisfy them in other areas as well. Secondly, we want to improve the society with the little profit that we are gaining to train the youth. Because of that, we have created the Prestodea Care Foundation. With the Foundation, we are training the street guys who have nothing to do. By the next three to four years, we want to make an institution dedicated to the youth. Then, regarding health matters, we are trying our best to help in a lot of things.

ABOUT PRESTODEA: Prestodea Ghana Ltd fabricates and installs galvanized steel, stainless steel, aluminum and glass works. The production and manufacturing services include cutting, folding, welding, punching, and drilling. Prestodea deals with the installation of balustrades, handrails, aluminum and uPVC products.
