Major investment opportunities in the petrochemical sector in Saudi Arabia. According to Jamal J. Malaikah, President and COO of NATPET, “Today, at least in our country, we are seeing a drive to go downstream. If you look at mainstream projects you will see mostly ARAMCO joint ventures like in Sadara and Jubail in the eastern province and Petro Rabigh on the west coast. There are some other projects too. It is not quite the bonanza it was several years ago, when the country was flourishing, with lots of investment in petrochemical projects because of the advantages we have in Saudi Arabia.”
