MEA (Middle East Airlines)
Middle East Airlines – Air Liban S.A.L. are the national airlines of Lebanon and they are also the largest air carrier in Lebanon.
MEA planes fly to 31 destinations in Asia, Europe and Africa from their hub airport Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport.
MEA’s partner airlines are Air France, Air Canada, Etihad Airways or Qatar Airways.
Frequent Flyer Program of Middle East Airlines is called Cedar Miles and the airlines have been a member of the SkyTeam alliance since 2011.
The size of fleet is 17, another 11 aircrafts are in order. MEA operate only Airbus planes: A330-200, A321-200 and A320-200.
MEA’s net income exceeded the treshold of US$ 100 million in 2009.
MEA’s precedessors were the Lebanese International Airways (LIA) which stopped all operations after they were destroyed by Israeli military attact in 1969.
