Nongolougo Soro, CEO of SNDI (Société Nationale de Développement Informatique), explains why SNDI is different from other companies in the IT and ICT fields in Ivory Coast and West Africa.
“The main advantage of SNDI compared to other companies in our field is the knowledge that we have of the public sector in Ivory Coast and West Africa. We have a long history of successful products in these areas. Even when there is an open bidding process, we usually beat any company from around the world in our region here in West Africa. This shows that we clearly have a competitive advantage. In a competitive bid financed by the EU, we won against several different companies and were formally contracted by the European Union with the Benin government. We achieved a similar outcome against several other international companies with the Guinea-Conakry project, which was a bid by the World Bank and the government of Guinea. USAID contracted a project called ProJustice concerning the use of ICT in the Ivory Coast Justice System. This was an open bid where we faced competitors from North America, Europe, and East Asia, and of course, SNDI presented the best technical and financial offer. We are clearly a leader in our field, not only in Ivory Coast but also West Africa, and we are working towards maintaining that position”, says Nongolougo Soro.
