Protection of Migrant Workers in Bahrain is Improving

Bahrain is one of the first countries in the GCC to have a society (established in 2004) to protect migrant workers, especially the ones not subject to the labor law.
 

Bahrain is one of the first countries in the GCC to have a society (established in 2004) to protect the migrant workers, especially the ones not subject to the labor law.

Among few successes of the society is a ban on summer labour intensive work (mainly in construction), shelter for abused family workers and free labour movement. Although much has been achieved, the situation is troublesome. The society is now trying to promote and push the minimum wage law.
