BML Istisharat continues to deploy its top core banking software

BEIRUT, November 2016–Lebanon based BML Istisharat– a globally recognized business Solutions and Information Technology Services provider has had some encouraging developments in the third quarter of 2016.
With their proprietary ICBS system going live at APS Bank in Malta whilst they have signed new contracts for their IMAD- Procurement system, IMAD- Inventory and IMAD-Payroll upgrade for Bank of Beirut. As well as Upgrades of IMAD- payroll systems at the Almaza (Heineken) brewery in Beirut.
APS bank Malta having gone live with its new core banking system BML Istisharat’s ICBS an implementation that began in 2015 when it was proposed that the system would go live in 2016. As a consequence Istisharat now has its first Maltese customer live on ICBS.
Replacing APS Banks legacy system, Intrasoft International’s Profits which had been in use at the bank since 2002. APS Bank intends to use ICBS on a hosted basis. A strategy that it has also adopted with its previous system.
Head of IT at APS Bank Jonathan Caruana says that the bank has now implemented a robust and high quality technology/platform that will enable a greatly enhanced efficiency in delivery of new products and services to their customers, including an improved internet banking service, enhanced internal controls combined with a far more streamlined compliance and regulatory reporting system. The changeover having been completed in early July.
