Baraton Trade Ethiopia: Infrastructure projects today, mining tomorrow
Baraton Trade wants to primarily focus on building infrastructure before they start thinking about entering the mining industry in Ethiopia.
“We really want to focus on the infrastructural projects. We don’t want to lose our focus and attention from that,” explains Aboma Taye, managing director of Baraton Trade. Infrastructure is the main area of growth or progress in Ethiopia at the moment.
“The mineral resources have not yet been found, they have not started exporting our resources. For now the only resource that is exported is our gold and they are going to start exporting potash,” continues Taye.
Baraton Trade wants to primarily focus on building infrastructure before they start thinking about entering the mining industry in Ethiopia.
“Of course Furukawa manufactures machinery that is applicable to the mining sector and so that will be something that we will look into in the future,” concludes Taye.
