Bahraini Women: Leadership

What is the outlook for women in leadership positions? Mona Almoayyed, Managing Director of Y.K. Almoayyed & Sons, tries to answer this question. Almoayyed believes that the establishment of minimum quota for women in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry was a big victory for Bahraini women. 

Alamoayyed is positive for the future and sees more women leaders: “Yes, I’m sure there will be many more women in leadership positions. I think the women who have been elected in the House of Representatives have really proven themselves and they have really taken on so many issues that men before did not care about. I think people have more confidence in women now as a result of this,” she says.
