Today, Lebanon is still dominated by its banking sector, which comprises 35 percent of the economy. Lebanese banking is a home-grown industry, by which is meant that it is largely dominated by old families with a deep treasure chest of banking experience that guides them through both good times and bad.
Jordan has been affected by the economic crisis. In the last year the growth rate was 2.8% but we heard that this year it would not be less than 4%.
We already have the laws we need for the private sector . The business sector is doing not so bad. Of course the ambition that Lebanon would be the financial center for the Middle East…
Politics in the middle east are turbulent and Lebanon is often pulled in all sorts of directions. Because Lebanon is rich with diversity this results in a noisy and difficult democracy that we have to navigate through without abandoning our principles.

Kuwait plans to spend about 16 billion dinars (US$56bn) in the fiscal year starting April 1, 2010 one-third more than the current year as oil prices rise. The emirate, which expects to spend 12.1 billion dinars in the current fiscal year, posted a budget surplus of 2.74 billion dinars last year as it benefited from higher oil sales.
Kuwait strategic economic plan is worth 30 billion dinars (US$104 billion). On the agenda is a detailed roadmap to implement Kuwait economic plan a long-term strategy after years of short-term planning. It is the first of its kind since 1986.

The Kuwait Fund is hoping to present to our board our latest strategies for 2010 and Kuwait Fund is hoping to continue with its current trends and possibly increase Kuwait Fund’s lending opportunities. Kuwait Fund has several recommendations to make and the Kuwait Fund would like to continue working with other Arab countries, Africa, and Asia while trying to strengthen our relations with them. Interview Bader Al Humaidhi. Kuwait’s government and parliament in 2008 issued a law that was organized by the Central Bank of Kuwait to boost economic growth in Kuwait. It had three objectives: to extend financial assistance through banks to financial institutions who were effected by the crisis, to help economic growth in Kuwait.
