RAK Free Trade Zone Services
Types of Licenses issued by RAK FTZ
  • Commercial – General Trading License
    Import, export, distribution, storage or warehousing of items specified on the license. Allows for more than seven different product lines.
  • Commercial License – Limited Activities
    Import, export, distribution, storage or warehousing of items specified on the License. Maximum limit is seven similar product lines or two different categories. (Business Specific License)

  • Industrial License
    Import of raw materials, manufacturing, processing, assembling, packaging, and exporting finished products.  Feasibility and environmental impact studies and clearance from RAK FTZ are required.
  • Consulting and Service License
    Offering consulting services in management, investment, economics, industrial development, marketing, and related subjects.

RAK Free Trade Zone Facilities

Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone Authority has four unique Free Zone Parks that will suit and serve every investor requirements. The four-park concept includes the Business Park, Industrial Park, Technology Park and Al Ghayl Park, offering offices, equipped warehouses and land facilities. Situated in different locations across the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, each park caters to the specific business interests and activities of the RAK FTZ investors.

The Business Park

The Business Park is located in the central business district of Ras Al Khaimah city close to the modern RAK Exhibition Center, Hilton Hotel and Beach Club, and Al Manar Shopping and Entertainment Mall.  It caters to the needs of the clients with their requirement of sophisticated offices in a well-developed business center.

The RAK Business Centre is a free zone facility that gives investors an opportunity to start a business with no hassles.

Some of the key features of the RAK Business Centre are the furnished, fully-functional and ready-to-use offices, flexi-offices (shared office) and flexi-desks (shared desk) in various locations rendered in consistence with the investors’ convenience.  All of these are offered at highly cost-effective rates.
The Industrial Park

The Industrial Park is located along the Ras Al Khaimah coastal road approximately 15 km north of Ras Al Khaimah and immediately adjacent to Hulaylah Island.  The park is approximately 6 km from Saqr Port, covering an area of 300 hectares.

It is developed for construction of heavy industries and warehousing, and incorporates abundant energy supply. Plot sizes are provided to suit individual client requirements and are fully serviced with water, electricity and telecommunications.

The facilities include on-site employee accommodation, Custom Office, Operation Supportive Services Centre and other administrative and service support centre located within the park.

The Technology Park

Located South of Ras Al Khaimah, the Technology Park’s close proximity to Dubai via the Emirates Road and its proximity to Ras Al Khaimah International Airport is advantageous to investors.

Covering an area of 100 hectares, it is located opposite Al Hamra Village and Resort, a 5-star resort facility with an 18-hole golf course. 

It is situated in a rapidly expanding area devoted to light industries and automated manufacturing and capital intensive quality lifestyle projects.
Al Ghayl Industrial Park

Covers an area of 400 hectares and it caters to heavy industries that deal with the construction market such as steel fabrication.  It has a strategic location since it is close to Sharjah and Fujairah. The park is still under development and contains different size of plots that suits various investor requirements.
RAK Innovation & Promotion Centre and Business Centers

RAK Free Trade Zone facilities include RAK Innovation & Promotion Centre and Business Centers in four locations in the UAE, with fully functional and ready-to-use offices, flexi-offices (shared office) and flexi-desks (shared desk). These business centers are located in:

New Developments
RAK FTZ’s continuous commitment to provide superior service and facilities reflects in the upcoming opening of the new state-of-the art office building in the Business Park to meet the growing demands from their existing clients who are looking to expand their projects and operation, and to supply new businesses coming in at the free zone.
