“Global Consolidated Contractors was established in 2005. The idea behind the company and even its name was to create a merger between the consortium from international companies in the construction sector and local companies. We work in construction management and we bring together international expertise and local labour to bid for international projects,” says Mostafa Al Hassan, Chairman of Global Consolidated Contractors (GCC).
“Our best approach to achieve our goals quickly was to enter a partnership with a large, leading multinational company. Our first partnership was with BASF of Germany. We then entered a partnership with St. Gobain, for gypsum. We are looking to invest and make up for the 2 or 3 years when we didn’t do anything. For 2015, we have a big program of investment.”
“The asset management business in Egypt is not very familiar. It has a lot of potential to expand over the coming years, because it is very small, but it is growing rapidly, but it is still in its early stages. The growth in assets in the company has a very high percentage. Since the last 3 to 4 years, some companies have grown by 50 % to 70% percent annually.”
“We are in the LPG field and we have six factories in Egypt for filling cylinders of LPG. Our production now is almost between 150,000 – 200,000 bottles per day.”
“My passion has always been for the beverage developing new trendy, stylish restaurant concepts. So I started my own company with my partner. We founded OB Hotels & Restaurants. We do boutique hotels more in the line of intimate, individual, experience lifestyles and restaurants. We started that in 2011 and it has just been exciting.”
