Ibrahim Diawara, President and CEO of Cipharm, gives his assessment of the Ivorian pharmaceutics sector. In Côte d’Ivoire, 94% of the medicines are imported. The local pharmaceutical production represents just 6%, which leaves great room for growth.
Mr. Diawara also presents Cipharm, a company founded in 1988 which has become the number one in terms of turnover in the country. Cipharm poduces tablets, gels, creams, syrups, etc., and will soon be manufacturing injectable medications as well.
