Logistics in Ivory Coast: SIMAT Declared 2016 the Year of Thousand Colors
In accordance with SIMAT’s internal communication policy, the year 2016 has been declared under the theme “2016, the year of thousand colors”.

The principle is simple: each month is linked to a color; the choice of the color is based on many facts. It could be the meaning of that color or simply, the color could remind us a particular event celebrated in that month.
The color chosen for January, as the first month of a new year, was white. And on the 15th of January, the whole staff of SIMAT (Société Ivoirienne de Manutention et de Transit) – all the departments on the different sites – was dressed in white. Beyond the purity inspired by the white color, the main purpose was to focus on the fact that, for SIMATers, it marks a start point to all possibilities, a start of a new story with new objectives, new challenges and new successes.
The same principle has been renewed for February and the color chosen was red, as a way to celebrate Valentine’s Day and promote love and passion for work.
During the in-white and in-red days, our workers were invited to take pictures of themselves to be shared by e-mail to the entire company. Competitions were also organised (best proverbs translator, most original clothes for men and women, most beautiful picture) and the staff of the three other agencies in Abidjan were visited by the communication department.
The in-White and in-Red days were successful actions which allowed SIMATers to have fun and strengthen social cohesion. We are now waiting for the next rendez-vous on the 15th of March for the in-yellow day!
