Zamzamzairani Mohd Isa

Zamzamzairani Mohd Isa, who is also known as Zam, is currently the CEO and Managing Director of Telekom Malaysia.

Zam’s childhood would not predict that he would one day become a major player in the Malaysian economy. His schooling days were mostly spent in the smaller villages of the country. His family moved according to where his father’s job took them. His father was a teacher and headmaster, and they lived a much simpler life.

Zam earned his Bachelor of Science in Communication Engineering from the University of Plymouth. He has also attended the School of Management at Kellog, and studied Corporate Finance.

Zam began his profession at Jabatan Telekom Malaysia, as an assistant manager of Satellite Planning and Development. He has decades of experience in the telecom sector and an impressive resume of companies he has worked with. Some of these companies include Global One, ACASIA Communications, Global Business, Izfatech, Maxis Communications, and Lucent Technologies.

Building team morale is important to Zam. He conducts regular team meetings with the Telekom Malaysia offices all over the country. He has a very approachable demeanor and has close ties with the company’s employees.
