Security Envelopes in Nigeria: How FAE Limited Built a Unique Manufacturing Niche

She highlights FAE’s ability to create specialised products beyond conventional white and brown envelopes, including tear-resistant, waterproof and tamper-evident security envelopes. These envelopes display the word “VOID” when opened, making it immediately clear if they have been tampered with.

She explains that this security feature is particularly useful for elections, as ballot papers can be sealed inside the envelopes and transported securely to collation centres without relying on internet connectivity. FAE Limited was the first company to introduce this type of product into Nigeria’s manufacturing space. The company has built a niche around security envelopes and currently supplies these specialised products across the ECOWAS region.
