Lourenço Sambo is the General Director of CPI (Mozambique Investment Promotion Centre). He has helped to market the country to investments, raised foreign direct investments and given the economy a good outlook in the eyes of the international local business community.

Lourenço Sambo is the General Director of Mozambique Investment Promotion Centre (CPI – Centro de Promoção de Investimentos). Investment in Mozambique is key and the man in charge of the promotion of the country’s investment potentials to the world is Lourenço Sambo. He has helped to market the country to investments, raised foreign direct investments and given the economy a good outlook in the eyes of the international local business community.

Prior to his appointment in July 2010, he was Economic Adviser to the Ministry of Planning and Development, giving him the right experience and exposure needed to attract investments into the country. He has also worked in several other institutions, including being an economic adviser to the CPI.

Lourenço Sambo holds a Masters Degree in Agricultural Business Management from the Faculty of Agronomy and Forestry Engineering at Universidade Eduardo Mondlane, and has completed a Postgraduate Course in Agricultural Development, among other qualifications.
