Over the past decade morocco experienced enormous development of its home-grown pharmaceutical sector. The major advantage to the development is that Morocco implemented very rigid and strict regulatory framework in line with the European best practices. Thus, Moroccan pharmaceutical sector is considered one of the best in the MENA region.
Moroccan pharmaceutical sectors is showing the signs of advanced development. With more than 12,000 pharmacies, 45 wholesalers and 35 pharmaceutical laboratories and over 5000 drugs marketed, Morocco has one of the most developed pharmaceutical sector in the region.
