Batelco Ramadan Bowling Tournament Launched
**Event in Memory of the late Hasan Ramadan Now On**
Manama, Bahrain: The Batelco Ramadan Bowling Tournament was officially opened at a special ceremony held at the Bapco Club’s Bowling lanes recently. Batelco, Bahrain`s largest telecom, is the title sponsor of the major sporting event, which is being held for the second successive year in memory of Hasan Ramadan, who is remembered as a bowling legend. Funds raised at the event will go towards the education of Mr. Ramadan’s daughter.
Batelco has provided financial assistance to ensure the success of the tournament and additionally has entered a team of their well known and competitive players.
The tournament will run throughout Ramadan, with matches taking place every evening from 7.30pm to midnight. Besides the main tournament, a youth bowling tournament has taken place to encourage and nurture young talents which was a main interest of Hasan Ramadan who was involved in the coaching of young bowlers.
Batelco’s sponsorship of this event forms part of the Company’s annual commitment to community sporting events. All bowling fans are welcome to attend the Batelco Ramadan Bowling Tournament, which will be held nightly at the Bapco Club’s Bowling Lanes, in Awali. The event final will be held on August 20th.
