Africure Pharmaceuticals Expands Across West Africa While Strengthening Its Social Impact

In this section of the interview, Harid Anad discusses Africure Pharmaceuticals’ growing distribution network across West Africa and the company’s commitment to making a broader contribution to society. In Côte d’Ivoire, Africure Pharmaceuticals supplies medicines through government procurement as well as major pharmaceutical wholesalers, including Laborex, TEDIS Pharma, Copharmed, and DPCI. As a local pharmaceutical manufacturer, the company is well positioned to supply these distributors directly and strengthen access to locally produced medicines.

Beyond Côte d’Ivoire, Africure Pharmaceuticals is steadily expanding its regional presence. The company already supplies pharmaceutical products to Burkina Faso and has registered products in Liberia, while registrations are under way across the UEMOA region, including Benin, Togo, Mali, Niger, Senegal, and Guinea. By the end of 2026, Africure Pharmaceuticals expects to be supplying medicines to eight countries, reinforcing its ambition to become an important pharmaceutical supplier across French-speaking West Africa.

Harid Anad also highlights the company’s commitment to communities beyond its commercial activities. Africure Pharmaceuticals works with public hospitals, schools, the Ministry of Health, and Côte d’Ivoire’s pharmaceutical regulatory authority. Its initiatives include medical outreach programmes and health camps organised with doctors, nurses, and hospitals, as well as support for public schools through the provision of educational materials.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the company also imported rapid detection kits from India and donated them to the Ministry of Health and regulatory authorities. For Africure Pharmaceuticals, regional growth therefore goes hand in hand with community engagement, improved access to healthcare, and a commitment to supporting social causes in Côte d’Ivoire and beyond.
