Bahraini Woman Commits Self-Suicide
Sanabis woman commits suicide by setting herself on fire.
Information Affairs Authority, Manama, Bahrain, 14 January 2012: The General Directorate of the Capital Governorate Police confirmed today that a woman who set herself on fire at her home in Sanabis passed away early this morning. Police were called to the woman’s home yesterday (Friday, January 13th) when a family member discovered her and an ambulance took her to Salmaniya Hospital.
Badriya Ali was diagnosed with severe depression according to her family and medical records.
Badriya Ali, age 59, had been receiving treatment at a local psychiatric hospital where she was diagnosed with severe depression according to her family and medical records. Mrs. Ali had attempted suicide several times in the past by drinking detergent and improperly using medication.
