Coinciding with the start of the summer vacation for schools in the Kingdom, GPIC – a producer of fertilizers in Bahrain – has launched its annual summer camp, held at the Company’s Club, for children of Company employees.

This event, which began on Saturday, 2 July and will continue until the 28th of the month, focuses on putting into practice the belief of the Company’s management in the importance of developing the capabilities of the students during the summer recess. The programme will assist these youngsters to learn many useful skills, develop their hobbies and give them the opportunity to have a good time, full of excitement and suspense.

One should also mention that the summer programme offered by the company includes classes for training and teaching for age groups from kindergarten to 14 years.

Mr. Abdulrahman Jawahery, the Company President, accompanied by a number of members of the Executive Management team and the chairman and members of Labour Union, visited the club where they saw the preparations being made for the camp this year.

Mr. Jawahery mentioned in this regard that the Board of Directors, chaired by H.E. Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, is fully supportive of this focus on our young people – part of a social role of GPIC. The Board is keen to support this endeavour, and appreciates the children’s great need for recreation and fun after school.

The President also stressed the desire of the company to maintain the continuity of this programme, which is also an opportunity to get to know friends and enjoy a wonderful, friendly atmosphere, reflecting the spirit of one family as found throughout the Company itself and as embodied a true spirit of citizenship. Mr. Jawahery further expressed his personal wishes for all of the children and staff to have fun and a useful time at the GPIC club.

One should also mention that the summer programme offered by the company includes classes for training and teaching for age groups from kindergarten to 14 years. There are many qualified teachers, specialists in their field with, at their disposal, all the facilities and educational tools that benefit children and encourage them to be interested in learning and teamwork. The wide variety of programmes on offer includes computers, tae kwon do, drawing, crafts and science experiments, Swimming lessons, a public speaking club, tennis, soccer and volleyball.

This year there are 300 participants representing the children of Company employees. In addition to their enjoyment of the many programmes being taught, the children will also benefit from a range of interesting excursions around the Kingdom of Bahrain.
