Manama, Bahrain: Batelco, Bahrain’s largest telecom, has announced its support for Galleria 2011, which will take place under the patronage of Minister of Human rights and Social Development & Acting Minister of Health H.E. Dr. Fatima Bint Mohamed Al Bulooshi, at the Gulf Hotel’s Gulf Convention Centre on August 5th and 6th.

The annual event, organised by Pro-Vision Events Bahrain, provides a professional and stylish showcase for Bahrain’s female entrepreneurs and newly established businesses, under the categories of Fashion, Design, Accessories, Food and related products.

The 2010 Ramadan Galleria, which was a resounding success, saw around 70 Bahraini ladies exhibit their produce with more than 1,500 ladies visiting the exhibition. This year, the event aims to attract an even larger display of exhibits thanks to last year’s achievements.

Batelco Group General Manager Media Relations Ahmed Al Janahi said that Batelco’s social responsibility aspired to reach all members and all ages within the community.

“We are very pleased to be associated with this event as it particularly focuses on the ladies of the community with the aim of fostering their talents and helping them to reach a wider audience to showcase their creativity.”

Galleria 2011 organizing committee Head and Executive Director of Pro-Vision Events Bahrain Abdulla Taqi has expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to Batelco for their tremendous support. “Batelco’s sponsorship is invaluable and will give a much need boost to the promotion of Bahraini products as well as supporting ambitious Bahraini female entrepreneurs,” said Mr. Taqi. “As part of Pro-Vision’s social responsibility, we will also support the Bahrain Down Syndrome Society through this event,” added Mr. Taqi.

Batelco will also exhibit a range of their products and services at the event including their latest offers developed as part of their 30th anniversary campaign.
