SGTD operates the Doraleh Container Terminal, one of Djibouti’s most valuable pieces of infrastructure. The terminal handled more than 1.2 million TEUs in 2024, its highest annual container throughput since opening. It serves both regional cargo and international transhipment traffic and has become an important gateway for Ethiopia and the wider East African market.

SGTD operates three berths and has been investing in additional cranes, storage areas and capacity as Djibouti strengthens its position on major international shipping routes.
