Abdillahi Adaweh Sigad is one of Djibouti’s leading figures in ports and logistics. As CEO of SGTD, he oversees the Doraleh Container Terminal, one of the country’s most strategically important pieces of infrastructure and a major gateway for trade between Djibouti, Ethiopia and international markets.

Before joining SGTD, Sigad served as Group Chief Financial Officer at Port de Djibouti SA and previously held senior finance, strategy and logistics positions with Total in Africa, Europe and South America. Under his leadership, SGTD has strengthened its role as a regional logistics hub, with the terminal handling more than 1.2 million TEUs in 2024.
