Youssouf Moussa Dawaleh

Founder, EDC Construction; President, Djibouti Chamber of Commerce

Youssouf Moussa Dawaleh combines entrepreneurship with exceptionally strong institutional influence. He began his business career in 1988 in food import and export, subsequently entered seafood exports and later diversified into construction and property development through Entreprise Dawaleh Construction, EDC.

His influence goes considerably beyond EDC. Dawaleh has been President of the Djibouti Chamber of Commerce since 2013 and was unanimously re elected for the 2024 to 2029 term. He has also served as President of the Pan African Chamber of Commerce and Industry, PACCI, since 2019. These positions place him at the intersection of Djibouti’s private sector, government and international investment community.
