Ali Abdallah Hettam

Ali Abdallah Hettam is a veteran Djiboutian businessman whose career spans banking, logistics, shipping, property and business development.

Before chairing Salaam African Bank, he served as CEO of UKAP Holdings and spent more than 20 years as Managing Director of Comad Group. He has also served as President of Djibouti’s Shipping Agencies Association and as a board member of the Port of Djibouti. Salaam African Bank’s current leadership information describes him as having more than 39 years’ experience in logistics, maritime transport and business management, with additional interests in property development and joint ventures.

He is also Chairman of WAAFI, linking his traditional banking profile to fintech and digital financial services.
