His Excellency Nechirvan Barzani, PM of Kurdistan Region, visits Empire World stand at Erbil International Fair

Iraqi Kurdistan: On 23 September, the Erbil International Fair celebrated its ninth year in existence. EIF is the largest general trade fair organized in Iraq and is a showcase for the new and exciting opportunities emanating from the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. This year there were more than 550 exhibits from 21 countries and the Fair hosted over 32,000 visitors.

Empire World and Falcon Group, major sponsors of the Fair, featured their current real estate project in Iraqi Kurdistan, Empire World, a mixed use prime residential and commercial real estate development. The development will include a business district, restaurants, lounges, and recreation and shopping centers, along with a range of luxury residential facilities.

Empire World, the largest real estate project in Iraq, is being developed at an estimated cost of $2.3 billion US dollars, incorporating 88 towers, 300 villas, green areas and infrastructure spanning over a total construction area of 1,250,000 m2 making it the largest prime real estate project in Iraq. Established in 2007, Empire World has been at the forefront of the private real estate sector with its innovative combination of commercial and residential real estate. The Project has also attracted many international luxury brands to Erbil such as Marriott Hotel which is scheduled to open in 2017.

His Excellency the Prime Minister of Kurdistan’s Regional Government, Mr. Nechirvan Barzani, visited the Empire World stand on 25 September and met with Mr. Peshraw Majid Agha, the Chairman of Empire World and Falcon Group. Mr. Agha presented the Empire World development to the Prime Minister, highlighting how it will bring new investment and tourism opportunities to Erbil. After inquiring more about the project logistics and goals, Mr. Barzani praised the efforts put forth by Empire World to develop and transform Erbil into a successful and prosperous city. Mr. Barzani wished the project team success with their endeavors and encouraged their continued dedication to the development of Erbil.

With the anticipated completion of the project in 2017, Empire World, the largest real estate project in Erbil, will be at the forefront of developing mixed use, quality real estate in Iraqi Kurdistan. Empire World’s focus on quality and contemporary design, combined with the promising future of their real estate development, will undoubtedly play its part in the growth of commerce in the Kurdistan region.
